Rockwise Strategies was hired by Hastings Public Schools to serve as the Owner’s Representative for their 2023 district-wide upgrade projects. The projects, each procured separately, included flooring replacements, bleacher replacements, and tuckpointing at the High School, pool resurfacing at the Middle School, and district-wide irrigation and tree replacements.
As the Owner’s Representative, Rockwise served as the main contact for the District, architects, and contracting teams. Other responsibilities included:
Monitoring and reviewing design changes (PRs) with the Client.
Reviewing and monitoring project schedules.
Attending bi-weekly construction meetings.
Observing and reporting on construction progress on a bi-weekly basis.
Assisting architects, contractors, and clients with resolving technical questions.
Overseeing submittals, RFIs, and other miscellaneous items.
Reviewing progress payment requests of the contractors to ensure accuracy.
Assisting with coordination between the architect, owner, and contractors as needed.
