Rockwise Strategies was hired by Hastings Public Schools to serve as the Owner’s Representative for their 2022 district-wide upgrade projects. These projects, each procured separately, included privacy improvements, locker room enhancements, an alternative learning center build-out, parking lot upgrades, and other Long-Term Facility Maintenance improvements at five different locations.
As the Owner’s Representative, Rockwise served as the main contact for the District, architects, and contracting teams. Other responsibilities included:
Monitoring and reviewing design changes (PRs) with the Client.
Reviewing and monitoring project schedules.
Attending bi-weekly construction meetings.
Observing and reporting on construction progress on a bi-weekly basis.
Assisting architects, contractors, and clients with resolving technical questions.
Overseeing submittals, RFIs, and other miscellaneous items.
Reviewing progress payment requests of the contractors to ensure accuracy.
Assisting with coordination between the architect, owner, and contractors as needed.
