Changing the landscape of community spaces
Rockwise provided schematic design through construction document estimating services for Snow Kreilich Architects for the development of Graco Park. The land designated for this park has a rich history, originally part of the Oak Savannah and Dakota Land, and later used as a sawmill until the Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Department purchased the 11-acre site in 2010. The future Graco Park will feature a multi-use net-zero building, native habitat restoration, and a trail connecting to Boom Island Park. Additionally, the park will offer public restrooms, community spaces, and a new Spark’d Studio location. Spark’d Studio is a creative technology space funded by the Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Board, providing community members with free access to multimedia arts programming and equipment.
